Reflections on Being A Senior

So here's my little site for all my random thought that I put down in poetry or short stories. Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment when I figure out how to set them up again.

Reflections On Being A Senior

Advice flying from all directions, No idea who is right

Pick a College! Pick a future!

Hey! Come on let’s go! Let’s party!

Do you want to struggle forever?

Live on tips and charity?

Smile. Joke. Your worries are over.

Life’s just a walk on easy street.

When are you ever going to get a life plan?

Party in Eldorado! Free beer for all!

Get your head out of the sky!

Pay Attention! Slack off! Stay in school, Stay cool!

STOP! Stop, it’s my life, let me choose what I want.

Let me go anywhere and say anything.

Let me go to Paris, to London or Rome.

Let me dance, let me party, let me stay out ‘til one.

You don’t live in my head so just stop “understanding.”

So I don’t know everything I want or even who I am.

That’s fine. Just a roll of the dice and enjoy the ride, even in my fear.

So let me smile, let me flirt, let me have extra sprinkles.

Let me have that pint of ice cream, my “pipe” dreams, my books.

I’ll be all right in the end just…

Simply, let me be.
